Support Worker – Shellharbour Area (NDIS)
Casual | Flexible Hours | Longer Shifts Available

Contract Care Support Services is looking for a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to support a female NDIS participant in the Shellharbour area.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys community access and helping participants build confidence and independence while engaging in meaningful activities.

About the Role

Your support will include:

  • Assisting with community access and social outings
  • Transporting the participant to appointments, classes and activities
  • Regular transport to and from Oak Flats Train Station
  • Supporting the participant during community outings such as shopping, cafes and local activities

Additional hours are available for support workers who are comfortable accompanying the participant by train from Oak Flats to Central Station for regular outings in Sydney. These may include visits to the aquarium, movies, markets, museums, and other recreational activities before returning home together.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting people with disability
  • Experience supporting people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is highly regarded
  • Is patient, calm and enjoys building positive relationships
  • Is confident using public transport and comfortable travelling to Sydney with the participant
  • Has excellent communication skills and a person-centred approach

Essential Requirements

  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Reliable, insured vehicle
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • National Police Check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
  • Full Australian working rights
